Langara Island, Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia, BC Canada

The Queen Charlotte Islands are more appropriately referred to as Haida Gwaii, meaning ‘Islands of the People’. The destination of choice for world-class salmon fishing - Chinook salmon, coho salmon and halibut are the heart of our fishery. Lingcod and rockfish, as well as chum, pink and sockeye salmon, are also found in abundance. Despite being one of the most isolated areas in Canada, these Islands are home to one of the world’s oldest and richest native cultures, with archaeological surveys finding artifacts dating back as far as 10,000 years.
